From Westend to Broadway
From West End to Broadway' is a group of performers who, as individuals, have appeared in numerous venues from the Royal Festival Hall to London's West End hit shows. With a specially orchestrated score by Andrew Jarrett and David Barber and direction by Michael Strassen, their fusing into one act makes them one of the most exciting, yet sophisticated theatrical cabarets available. The musical cabaret was showcased at The Old Vic Theatre, London and received it's premiere onboard the QE2.
From West End to Broadway' performers have many credits including productions of Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, Sunset Boulevard, Jesus Christ Superstar, She Loves Me, Oliver, Carousel, Fame, Into The Woods, Chicago and Grease as well as appearing in several Royal Command Performances. They range from graduates and West End artists to Tony/Olivier award winning actors for that special occasion or Maiden Voyage.
As well as performing in 'From West End to Broadway', the show is directed by West End performer Michael Strassen. Apart from his roles as Marius in Les Miserables, Simon in J.C. Superstar and the original cast of Miss Saigon he has toured the UK and played leading roles at most major UK theatres and has also produced for other leading artists, as well as directing Ruthie Henshall at the Royal Festival Hall and for her sell out UK tour.
Musical Director and orchestrator Andrew Jarrett has worked on several major Cameron Mackintosh shows in Australia (Cats/Sunset Boulevard) and was assistant to the late Lionel Bart (Oliver) as well as alongside Jerry Herman on the composer's tribute show in London's West End (The Best of Times).
